In the video Jared Diamond is a specialist in Human Physiology and is embarking on an adventure to learn how Guns, Germs and Steel were used in advantage for civilizations of the future to become so much more powerful then others.
Diamond has started in the Rainforest and brought up a very interesting idea for discussion, New Guineans are among the most culturally diverse and adaptable people in the world: so why are the so poor compared to modern Americans?
This question requires us to go back to the beginning of time, how did great super powers of civilization like the Mayas, Greeks, Romans & Egyptians advance so much and other civilizations were lost to history?
To find this answer, Diamond set back the clock to 1300 years ago, when everyone was equal and all lived in small hunter gather groups. However after an archeologist find of one of the first villages in history they realized that these people were beginning to settle and live together and in this village there was a room: inside this room its believed to have had a way that these people kept grains and other types of food concealed from germs, insect & moister.
Diamonds answer: the crops & animals. He believes that origin to success starts in the Fertile Crescent and the spreading of crops and animals on the x/y axis of the land, spread to places like Egypt and Greece, and boosted the economies and civilizations

Today in class we had our very last test for Human Geo and i did very well and got a 92 on the Test. I really enjoyed Mr. Schicks class because it offered something different then all the others as all we did in the others is worksheets and stuff like that. I like taking my own notes and laying out everything my own way. I hope we change up our seats a little bit for the next semester for Western Civilization. That unit is really interesting to me since my cousin Evan is really big into the Romans and Greeks and I know a decent amount, so I'm looking forward to it

This is could be like my last blog for Human Geo which is kinda sad. Even though i had none of my guys in this class I still enjoyed it. Today while waiting for my Essays i had this verse from J. Cole's "4 Your Eyez Only" stuck in my head.
He said, Listen, I got no time to dive into descriptions
But I been having premonitions
Just call it visions from the other side
I got a feeling I won't see tomorrow
Like the time I'm living on is borrowed
With that said, the only thing I'm proud to say, I was a father
Write my story down, and if I pass
Go play it for my daughter when she ready
And so I'm leaving you this record, for your eyes only
He said, Listen, I got no time to dive into descriptions
But I been having premonitions
Just call it visions from the other side
I got a feeling I won't see tomorrow
Like the time I'm living on is borrowed
With that said, the only thing I'm proud to say, I was a father
Write my story down, and if I pass
Go play it for my daughter when she ready
And so I'm leaving you this record, for your eyes only
Don't you ever scratch or disrespect it
This perspective is a real one, another lost 'Ville son
I dedicate these words to you and all the other children
Affected by the mass incarceration in this nation
That sent your pops to prison when he needed education
Sometimes I think that segregation would've done us better
Although I know that means that I would never
Be brought into this world
Now it's thirty years later, making sure this story's told
Girl, your daddy was a real one, not 'cause he was cold
Not because he went from bagging up them grams to serving O's
Nah, your daddy was a real one, not 'cause he was hard
Not because he lived a life of crime and sat behind some bars
Not because he screamed against the law
Although that was true
Your daddy was a real one because he loved you
For your eyes only
Thank You, Mr Schick for this Semester. See you in Western Civ

So I'm gonna start to write the date out in words because I think it looks cooler, I don't know why thats important but I just wanted to say it. Today in Class we went over what the test is on. I still haven't gotten a 100 on a test yet and Hank has done it like 20 times so I wanna do it once. We have what I think 2 days left in his class so I don't know what we are doing tomorrow, but I do know its gonna be an easy day and I have confirmation at night so it should be a good day.

1-14-19 Assignment (Religion Description)
Christianity is the religion in which its followers believe that Jesus Christ was born and died for own sins to be purified. Jesus was born around 2 - 7 AD and died around 30 - 36 AD. Shortly after Jesus's followers (the disciples) spread the word of god throughout the world, Christians believe in the holy trinity: the son (Jesus), the father (God) and the Holy Spirit which are forms of God. The holy book of the religion is the Bible, Christianity is Monotheistic religion and has about 2.2 Billion Adherents.
Islam is a religion in which they believe in one God (Monotheistic), followers of the Islamic Religion are called Muslims. The Islamic Religion has two denominations: Sunnis (75-90%) & Shiites (10-20%). The Islamic founder is known as Muhammad, an all knowing preacher whose purpose was to spread the word of God. However Muhammad was not believed to be God (Allah) unlike how the Christians view Jesus. Ultimately, Muslims believe in the 5 Pillars (testimony, prayer, alms giving, fasting & pilgrimage) as how God says they should live their life, following these rules. The Islamic Holy Book is known as the Qur'an and has 1.5 Billion Adherents.
Hinduism is a Polytheistic religion that has belief in many Gods and not one above all. Hindu's have no founder and don't believe in a place after death. They believe in Reincarnation and that you will continue to be reincarnated until you fulfill your destiny. The Hindu's holy book is known as the Vedas, Hindu's don't see their religion as a religion; but more as a way of life. There are about 1.1 Billion Adherents.
Buddhism is another Monotheistic Religion and believe as a God above all. Buddhist believe in a figure named Siddhartha Gautama, a prince who was enlightened by God and began to preach the words of God, Siddhartha became the Buddha. The Buddha preached the Four Noble Truths (There is suffering, Attachment to desire is the source of suffering, There is a cessation to suffering, The Eightfold Path will lead to the cessation of suffering.) The Buddhist's have no major holy book, and have about 500 Million - 1.5 Billion followers.
Judaism is also a Monotheistic Religion which believes in the word of God but is still waiting for its Savior. the Jews read out of the Torah and also believe in the Old Testament of the Bible. They believe in their founder Abraham who spread the word of God, but Jew's do not believe the Jesus Christ rose from Dead. There are about 14-18 Million Jewish followers.

Today in Class, we went over more statistics for the Religions based their geographical location. For example, Christianity is the leading religion on the Western Hemisphere (North America, South America, West Europe & Sub Saharan Africa. However, Islam is the largest practiced religion in nearly every country of Southwest Asia & North Africa, as well as in Central Africa. Asia is the only continent on Earth that has countries where the largest practice religion is Buddhism & Hinduism.
Today we told to remember this sentence in particular:
"Although most migrants learn the language of the new language of the new location, they typically retain their religion."
The four biggest religions in the world: Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism & Islam claim the adherence of 77% of the worlds people.
2.2 Billion are Christian, 1.6 as Muslim (Islamic), 1 Billion as Hindu & 500 million as

Today in class I caught up on all I missed yesterday, but we spent most of the period learning about Purgatory and the difference between the Catholic & Lutheran Church. It kind of makes me mad when people talk against the beliefs of the Catholic Church. However, i can see why many would see Purgatory USED as a scam. I believe God is merciful and that Purgatory is a balance of hell & heaven as you await your fate in life. However, giving money to the Catholic Church does not get their family into Heaven while stuck in Purgatory. I think that is a load of crap, I think if God sees good in the person and tried there best then he would be merciful. Praying for your family ultimately does more for them if stuck in Purgatory then paying money

Today in the class we learned about the other major religions, finishing Hinduism, Jew & Buddhism. I was very confused about what Hindu's actually believe. So i looked up and exert from their holy book the "Vedas". However i could not find it so, i found a excerpt from the Islamic holy book the Quran.
Here it is:
51. And it is not given to mortal man that God should speak unto him otherwise than through sudden inspiration, or (by a voice, as it were) from behind a veil, or by sending an apostle to reveal, by His leave, whatever He wills (to reveal): for, verily, He is exalted, wise.
